I have placed a Poll widget on the blog now to get more information from the Geocachers.

This week it is about caching in bad weather. I am more a good weather cacher, but I am sure there are fanatics out there that will cache any day no mather how the weather is like.

Today I was following some tweets and came across an interesting post on the blog Its Not About The Numbers.
Rumors are that Garmin is gonna launch their own website for Geocaching and therefore competing with Geocaching.com. What will this mean for the caching world as we know it and shall a spin off gonna emerge to split our hobby in 2?

I hope not.. and I really hope it will be a nice addition to this wonderful hobby.

Due to being very busy lately and the bad weather we haven’t been able to do a lot of Geocaching lately.
I have 1 more post to publish soon though.

When we have a day with nice weather more caches will be found and blogged!

On the 18th of September the event GO KLEIN maar FIJN WIJN en niet voor de LIJN took place at Wijnhoeve de kleine schorre. And we attented . It was our first Geocaching event since we started and a good oppertunity to meet fellow cachers en log some extra trackables and caches on our name .

We arrived around 5 o’clock and there were many cars parked at the winery. That was a good sign. Not all cars where there for the geocaching event, but most of them were.
The barbeques were already burning and so we went to register and pay for the food .

On the table there were some trackables we logged and people brought coins over so everyone was logging those. Some really nice coins were there which you can see on our Geocaching profile.
There was even a pretty rare cache there. It was a car marked as a cache and it’s called “Het gele bussie“. Quite nice to be able to log this one so early in our geocaching career.

There were also some cars which are trackables so we also logged those ofcourse.

It was a really nice evening and met some nice people who are real enthousiasts. Really nice to see such a big group of people sharing and loving the geocaching game.
